george harrison ravi shankar from the concert for bangladesh. the jack palance out take was kindly donated by mr a green.

track 002:
flow continued
originally the second part of an unfinished piece - "ebb", flow continued is also still unfinished. loosely, it's about the films i watched when i was a kid with my dad.
"the vikings" for one, "where eagles dare" was another. (billy05)

track 004:
play that funky music
one of our faves, when bangers played it to me in jan06 we incorporated it into our party set straight away. (mash06)

track 005:
have you understood?
the sound of a meadow in
oradour sur la glane (summer05), the guitars are apple loops, the car that drove past was a renault. as a general rule, do not believe in clairvoyants, but do try to put them into your music whenever possible. (claire v spring 06)

track 006:
mash up the mash up!
we larve it...we larve it... we larve it larve it larve it! (dj disco danny- april 06)

destiny's child - independent woman - 2 many dj's, 10cc - dreadlock holiday, emmanuel jal - gua, rae & christian - catch a rude awakening, muddy waters - tom cat, astrud gilberto - the gentle rain - rjd2 remix

track 007:
you don't have to see it to feel it
the origins of this track go back to 1999. the nord lead providing plenty of warmth and the 1080 "sands of time" setting were, along with the piano, the original building blocks. everything else has been added since then and it has been reworked a number of times to reach it's present state.
gandhi was recorded reading his spiritual message to the world in 1931, it is used with kind permission from the british library sound archive (billy no mates feb06)

track 008:
tv heaven
salvador dali and bagpuss saying hello to oliver and are you being served is only available in pro tools. this was done on holiday in burwash, east sussex, despite having better things to do. it was the first time that the mbox had been on holiday. (brian h august 05)

track 009:
i love you mash up
bangers had the idea of sticking a load of tunes that mention the word "love" together. so this was how the track started off, then we abandoned the "love" thing (cos it was sounding crap) but carried on with the tune. (mash06)

track 010:
bossanova
an experiment in gentle versus offensive.
derek and clive talk about norman the carpet. some loops from prime sounds and another man from deepest india. the car door was a ford mondeo on chiswick mall. their was a bright blue sky with many gulls. standing on the small kerb, with the brewery slightly behind me on my right. facing the south side of the river. it was 3pm. (no mates-march 22nd 06)

track 011:
are you sleeping ok?
euston station (october 2004) and some
david torn guitar. the cut up synth line is an es2.
part of "derelict london". it's not finished (surprise surprise) but we thought blips and beeps would like it. (no mates was ere!)

track 012:
this is my life
eddy had months and months of messages to get through before this was completed. she declined to write anything but wanted to thank the following people:
christine from the dental clinic, adam rhys dee, andrea filtness, emma cook, philippa molyneux, mum & dad, jan edwards, tracy ann, christina, ruadhri, jem, christine p, rog, stanislas and justin roberts.

track 013:
go dylan
as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know.
we also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know.
but there are also unknown unknowns -- the ones we don't know we don't know.
(rumsfeld05)

track014:
sounds of childhood
do i like this anymore? I can't tell. (billster - summer05)
